Our Loyalty to God
If believers are not loyal to God, why should other people decide to follow Him? We are God's children and His representatives in this world, so as we live, others are to see Jesus in us by how we act and want to come to know Him. If we are not loyal to Him, we drive them away. When we do that, we defeat the purpose of God, which is that all peoples will know that the Lord is God, and there is no other.(I Kings 8:60,61) How is your loyalty to God?
God knows human nature better than anyone else, because He designed us and created us. He knows that we are most strongly swayed to believe in someone or something, when we see others who have trusted that person or thing getting satisfaction, being blessed. God blesses those who are loyal to Him and who walk in His ways, because He loves us and He wants to bless us, but also, because He loves everyone, and He wants to bless them, too. His goal is for all peoples to know Him and to be blessed by following Him.
Please, consider your loyalty to God. Does He come first with no close seconds in your life? When people meet you, do they see that He is your all, and do they see the blessings of God in your life because of your loyalty? That is our mission in life, to bring Him glory by our words and actions, so all can come to know Him. Let's take our lives seriously. Each one counts for the eternity of others.
