The Main Thing
"The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing." Years ago I heard this spiritual principle, and it has stuck with me. I am sure you have similar truths you remember in this way. It helps us stay on track with the Lord and His ways.
Life is complex. We are busy. We have all types of challenges and needs. However, there is one priority that is above all others. Jesus is Lord! We must make sure we know Him and make Him known. That is the main thing. Nothing else even comes close.(Isaiah 45:6)
To know Jesus as Lord is the greatest thing in life. To lead someone else to know Him as Lord is the second greatest thing. Our lives will only be in order when we keep this the main thing in all we do. Nothing else brings such satisfaction and peace.
Today, I read Isaiah 45-47.
