Expressing Our Love

One thing that makes Christmas wonderful is that we celebrate Jesus, God's expression of His love for us, by expressing our love for those dear to us. Hopefully, we express our love in a number of meaningful ways. Of course, we give gifts. We give something special to someone who is special to us. It is not the cost of the gift, bu the love behind it. Other times, we give our time and energy to help our loved ones. That is an expression of true unselfish love. Sometimes, we make time for the other person, so we can just enjoy being together. All of these things are expressions of our love. They are all reminders that love is not just a feeling. It is a verb, so it is action that comes from our hearts. Love is from God, who expresses His love for us all of the time by everyday blessings and huge miracles. I pray that we will all learn to express our love strongly all year long.
