Trusting God

Some people just have trouble trusting God. I am not sure why, but maybe it is because they can't see Him. However, He has revealed Himself to all of us, so we know He is very real and very powerful. We should be able to trust whatever He says, and we should trust Him to be able to do whatever we need Him to do for us.

The Bible speaks to this dilemma. (Proverbs 30:5-6) Every word of God always proves to be true. He is a shield to all who come to Him for protection. We must not add to His words, or He may rebuke us and expose us as liars. Let's just take God at His word and depend on Him fully.

God is very trustworthy. Whatever He has said in His Word, the Bible, is the truth, and it will come about as He has said. The Bible assures us that we can depend on God for our protection. He said it, and we need to believe it, so that we run to Him for all of our needs.

We must not think that we need to add to His words. Again, just take what the Bible says and what He says to you, and do it. If we try to add to His words, we are saying that He didn't say enough, or we know better than what God said. When we do that we are lying, and God may decide to expose us, so others won't get the same idea.
