God Cares

The Christmas season can be a time when all types of cares fill our hearts and minds. We wonder what gifts to buy and for whom to buy them. We are not sure we will have enough money to pay for those gifts and all of our regular expenses, too. Then, there are the cares that come from our relationships with family and friends not being what they should be. We mourn the loss of our family members who contributed so much to Christmas in the past, too. There are many cares, but we also have One who cares us. Peter knew what it meant to have problems and not know what to do. The Lord showed him something to tell us. (I Peter 5:7) We should be casting all our cares on the Lord, because He cares about us. Yes, there is a very important One who cares for you and all of your cares.

When we have a care or concern, our first thought might be, "Who do I know who could help me with this problem?" We often look for someone with a certain amount of knowledge and experience with what we need. Even when we find who we think can help us, things still can go very wrong. However, God really cares, and He has every ability and all the wisdom to receive all of our cares and help us solve them. He has all wisdom and power. He is the most caring loving Person we could ever imagine. He is sitting on ready to help us, but we may not be asking. We may not be casting all our cares on Him. Why not? We may not think He cares or that He can even hear our prayers, but we are wrong if that is what we think. He does care, so we should be constantly casting cares upon the Lord all day long as we pray without ceasing. Then, we should let them go, while we listen for God's caring love or His direction about what to do to solve the problem. Remember, God cares, and He will help us, if we will draw near to Him and listen. What a wonderful, loving God we serve!
