Being Vindicated by God

Believe me, we will all be accused of doing bad things, no matter how righteous our actions may be. This is very hurtful. It can cause us to get very discouraged and even depressed. We must not let this be the result of these false accusations. We should consider the source from which they come, and know that if they come from scorners or those who are stirring up trouble out of their own interests, we should dismiss them. Also, we should take our cares to the Lord, for He cares for us. God will do whatever it takes to vindicate us, as we have been obedient to Him. We see this in the incident when God caused Aaron's rod to bud. (Numbers 17:5,8) The people had been complaining that Moses and Aaron were put in charge of leading the people. Therefore, God told Moses to take one staff from the leader of each of the 12 tribes and put them in the tent of testimony. He told the people that He would show the man He had chosen to lead by causing his rod to sprout leaves. The very next morning Moses went to check out the rods, and Aaron's rod had not only sprouted, but it had formed buds, blossomed, and produced almonds. This was God's unmistakable miracle to vindicate His servant Aaron.

I have seen people bring slanderous accusations against me and many other people during the time of my ministry. They do not understand that we do not choose to be in leadership because we want to be in charge or to be important. We are called by God to be His servants, and being leaders is part of our service. We do not do it in our own wisdom or strength. We act on God's direction and we do what we do in His power. If we do this consistently over a long period of time, people see they can trust us. When they hear false accusations, they dismiss them as being totally out of character for us. However, when more needs to be done to bring vindication, we do not need to fight back. We need to ask the Lord for His vindication. God will take over, and His vindication is very effective, as we saw in the story of Aaron's rod budding.  We must not worry, but pray about these things. God will give us peace of mind. He will guard our heart and our mind against these attacks, so we can continue to do His will in His way. Of course, the opposite is true also. When a leader of God's people is unrighteous, God will not vindicate him, but He will make sure his sins and lack of integrity are found out, so further harm will not be allowed.
