Christ's Appearance before God for Us

Most of us know that Jesus was nailed to a cross, so He could shed His blood for our sins and die in our place. This was the plan of God to provide the payment for our sins and to provide a way of salvation for all people. Of course, Jesus did not only die, but three days later He rose from the dead to show He was Lord and His sacrifice was accepted by the Father. He did not enter the Temple at that time to offer His blood on the Mercy seat in the Holy of Holies. Instead, Jesus went to the heavenly temple and put His blood on the altar in heaven for us. The writer of Hebrews explained this well. (Hebrews 9:24) Jesus did not just enter the holy place made with hands, which was a mere copy of the true temple. He went to heaven itself to appear in the presence of God for us. That way He secured our salvation by His blood, once for all.

The Bible is clear that our salvation comes by the finished work of Jesus Christ. He came from heaven to be born of the virgin Mary, so He could be flesh and blood like us. He lived a sinless life, while being 100% man and 100% God. Therefore, He did not deserve to die, but He gave Himself for us. After His sacrifice, Jesus came back to life and appeared to God in the heavenly temple, so He could put His precious blood on the true Mercy Seat. God received His work, and now anyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus in repentance and faith in Him as Lord will be saved. This redemption comes as a transaction between Jesus and us, but it only comes after Jesus made all things right for us in the presence of God in heaven. This is why we can be assured our our salvation once we know Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus paid it all and did everything necessary for our sins to be forgiven and for us to receive eternal life. Praise God for His plan of salvation, and praise to Jesus for carrying it out fully because of His great love for all people.
