With Bonds of Love

 I wonder if we have ever thought of how God lowers Himself to our level to show us His care and love? God is seated on the throne in heaven. He is the All-powerful Creator and Ruler of the Universe. Yet, God loves us so much that He condescends into our lives to show us love with which we can relate. He knows that then, there will be no question about how much He loves us. Hosea recorded for us the very words of God, and they reveal His heart of love for His children. (Hosea 11:4) God led Israel with cords of man, just like another person would come along beside us and lead us. In fact, God used bonds of love to connect with us and show us the way. He came to them as one who lifts the yoke from their jaws. Then, He bent down and fed them Himself. What a picture of our Loving Father!

God is in heaven, but He knows just how to lead us in every area of our lives, He does His leading in a way to which we can relate. It is as if another human being was leading us; it is down to earth and relevant. He draws us and leads us with bonds of love. In other words, He leads out of His special affection for each of us. He lifts the burdens off of us, like we would lift a yoke from a cow, allowing its mouth to chew without a problem. Then, God bends down to feed us, just what we need. It is personal, loving care for each of God's children on a personal basis. God's way is so perfect. He shows His love by how He directs and feeds us every day.
