Greatly Used by God
Moses was an amazing servant of God. In fact, he was the greatest prophet of the Lord up to his time. The Lord knew Moses "face to face," and the signs and wonders God worked through him were unparalleled. (Deuteronomy 34:10,11) What a great testimony about a humble servant of the Lord. He was not perfect, but he was used by God to defeat the most powerful nation on earth and to deliver 2 million people from bondage. That is quite a remarkable life. I wonder what will be said about us, when we come to the end of our life.
The key to Moses' service was his close relationship with God. I believe his humble heart allowed him to draw near to God and to have God speak so clearly to Him. The term "face to face" meant an intimate relationship. Would other people say that we have a close relationship with the Lord Jesus? Are we able to hear the words of the Lord and to speak them to others, just as He directs us. That is the kind of relationship God wants all believers to have with Christ today. Also, what types of signs and wonders has God been able to work in our life and through our life to touch other people?That is how God wants to work in us and through us. Our lives should be marked by the supernatural. That shows others that we are servants of Almighty God. Both of these things are up to us, because God is willing, but He is waiting to see what we really want. I pray that we will humbly submit to Jesus Christ and be greatly used by Him for His glory.
