What God Requires of Us

Once we comes to know Christ as Savior and Lord of our lives, how should we live each day?  That is a huge question that must be answered correctly, if we are to please the Lord. The answer is that God does not require us to do works to please Him. He looks at our hearts. He looks for us to be righteous before Him in attitude and actions, because of our relationship with Him. (Micah 6:8) Micah told us three simple things that are examples of what God is looking for each day.

God loves to see His children do justice. He does not want us to be hypocrites, who hide our sins behind a mask of being good. He desires for us to listen to His word and do what is right out of love for Him and others. We should love kindness, too. We should be kind, not out of duty, but out of true love for Him and others. Finally, we should walk humbly with Him each day, submitting to His authority and direction. Then, we walk with Him in love, having the joy of a close relationship with our Lord.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Micah 7 and Nahum 1-2.
