God's Judgment Shows His Glory
The glory of God is all of His attributes. Since He is perfect, all of his attributes are perfect. He is perfect in power, wisdom, holiness, and grace. However, He is perfect in judgment, too. Therefore, when He pours out His judgment, His glory is seen by all who experience it. That is what will happen one day when there is a huge battle that comes against Israel from Russia, Iran, Ethiopia, and Libya. (Ezekiel 39:21,22,29) This could help us see the glory of God today, too.
God has punished Israel, but now they are back in the Promised Land. When this battle comes against them, God will defeat the enemies of His people, so that the nations will see His glory and so will Israel. The people of the nations will not all turn to Him, but all of the people of Israel will turn to Him. Then, God will pour out His Spirit on them, so they will be saved and be close to Him. Therefore, we can see that it will be a time of judgment that brings Israel to the Lord at the end of time.
Could it be that God is going to show Himself to America by His judgment? If we will be sensitive and watch for Him, many people can be saved by turning to Jesus. If we are not sensitive, the judgment will only drive people farther from Him. What will it do in your life?
Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 41-43.
