Life isn't Fair, but God is Good

Stress can get to us. It can make us depressed. We can stop trusting God, when we look at our problems too much, and we pray too little. I think that is what happened to David after being hunted by King Saul for a while.(I Samuel 20:1) We all need to guard against this happening to us.

Remember, life is not fair. Sin is rampant in this world. People are liable to say or do anything. We can get hurt by others when we have done nothing wrong. It is part of living in a sin filled world. We can get the short end of the stick by being left out of a promotion or being laid off of a job. All of these things are part of the tribulations of this life. They are not going to harm us, unless we let the stress get to us, and we get so discouraged and depressed that we have a bad attitude, and we fail to look to God as our Source for help. Please, don't concentrate on your problems. Concentrate on the power and goodness of God.

Remember, God is good. He knows what you are going through. He knows your heart. If you are faithful to Him and seeking to be holy before Him, He will deliver you in His own way and in His time. In fact, He will work out a better plan than you would have done yourself. He loves you more than you love yourself, and He wants the best for you. The tribulations of life will prepare you for the blessings to come.

In the end David did not get killed by Saul, and he was king for 40 years. He was the greatest king of Israel. God did not let David down, and He won't let you down, if you stay faithful to Him.

Tomorrow, I intend to read I Samuel 22-25.
