Christian Education

This morning I looked into the eyes of some of that spiritual potential I wrote about last night. I was invited to speak with the students in one of our academy classes about what it means to receive Christ as Lord and Savior and to answer their questions. We had a great time! Their teacher had already led them in a presentation of the gospel, and several had asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. She wanted to be sure they understood everything well.

Imagine all that children learn in school. Much of it is very important for them to succeed in life. However, nothing is more important than knowing the Lord Jesus in a close personal relationship. That is why I believe in Christian education. It integrates the whole person body, soul, and spirit into the educational process. I believe this complete process is the only complete education. Without the spiritual dimension education is hollow at best.

God created men to have fellowship with Him and to live for eternity. This is only fulfilled when we repent of our sins and trust Christ as Lord and Savior who died for us and lives to make intercession for us. If we miss the eternal, we miss life.

I am so glad to say that an entire class of North Henry Academy has a clear view of the spiritual aspects of real life, and most of them have grasped the reality of those things by faith in Christ. We have done our job in educating them to the fullest, because I am sure they are learning all of the academics, too. It's great to see God working in their young lives in such a mighty way.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Lamentations 3-5 and Hebrews 10:19-39.
